ACW became involved in a legal dispute with Nite Fights last spring after signing two Nite Fighters (Miranda Alexander and Niki Foxe) to contracts. The dispute was resolved amicably and ACW purchased Void’s shares soon thereafter. After failing to close a number of promotional deals, the Nite Fights directors began seeking investors. ACW made an outright bid to buy the promotion and the parties agreed to terms on Monday. Details of the arrangement will not be disclosed but sources indicate that the amount paid for the remaining shares was much lower than what ACW paid for Void shares.
“We are happy to have completed the transaction so quickly,” said Tanako X, President of ACW. “We believe that the Nite Fights promotion and assets could prove very useful and will allow us to try some new things and expand our operations. The purchase also allows us an opportunity to work with Nite Void again. I believe Mr. Void was a very talented, very wise promoter and I think his vision of Nite Fights was a very sound one and hopefully we can get him on board in some capacity at some point in the future.”
