Galas Looner stormed into ACW like a Miami Hurricane. As part of the Miami Invasion, she was one of the first women targeted by Tanako X as the promotion ventured to Florida to set up a new base. Galas, who bears a striking resemblance to singer Gwen Stefani, was known for her pleasant demeanor and wasp-like waist. What she wasn’t known for was her natural talent as a catfighter.

From the beginning of her run in the promotion, she has exceeded expectations and become one of the most popular women in the last ten years. Unfortunately, she continues to butt up against her greatest rival, fellow Miami star Megan Jones and that might be what keeps her from achieving greatness.

Galas was born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA, but she always dreamed of living in sunny Florida. When she turned sixteen she won a local modeling competition and was awarded the prize of a trip to Miami to enroll in a modeling school. For two years she worked part-time jobs while attending the school but was disappointed when she was only being offered non-paying gigs. It was at this time that she met Kaila Ali, a Miami-based professional model (who would later become an ACW wrestlers as well). Ali explained the ins and outs of obtaining industry work, including having a willingness to push the boundaries. On her 18th birthday, Galas decided to do just that and attended a fetish convention where she was booked solid for five straight days. One of those booking was for a catfight pinup company and she became fascinated with all aspects of the catfighting industry.

Despite her inexperience, she began entering catfighting tournaments and preceded to get her head handed to her. “In the beginning, I just thought it was a lot of rolling around and giggling, but then I saw how serious the women were about their sport,” remembered Looner. “I had one girl who put me in a reverse head scissors and spanked my ass for damn near an hour. My ass was so red that I had to cancel all of my bookings for a week. I was pretty pissed off, but I realized that if I didn’t want that happening I had to take it seriously and get better.” It just so happened that one of ACW’s talent scouts attended one of the tournaments that she competed in and Galas approached him to find out what she could do to improve. He recommended that she enroll in classes at the ACW Academy dojo in Chicago, Illinois and she spent six month in training there before moving back to Miami.

Upon her return, Galas dominated her competition winning three at-large tournament in 2009. She surprised most of her competition who regarding her as a piece of eye candy, but she fought with equal amounts of tenacity and playfulness, keeping her foes off-balance. Her success made her a rising star in the industry and caught the attention of ACW Vice President Masahiro X. X travelled to Miami to give her a tryout and suggested moving part of the promotion’s training facilities down to Florida. The result was the Miami Invasion.

Galas reached out to Kaila and ACW held an opening audition for new talent. From there they invited six new wrestlers into the promotion, but two stood out from the pack initially, Galas and Megan Jones. The two wrestled one another continuously for their first two months, traded wins and putting on outstanding performances. Eventually, their success propelled them to title contention and Megan won the Inter-Condominium belt. She and Galas fought title matches over this belt for the next six months and after her eighth attempt. Galas wrestled the belt away from the champion. “It was so huge winning that belt,” said Galas. “I knew I was pretty good, but moving up that quick and getting a title shot and then winning it, really changed my view of my career.”

Looner and Jones traded the IC belt back and forth until Jones got a shot at the prmotion’s top title, the ACW Championship belt. When Megan topped Daniella Cartier for the title, everyone expected that her natural rival for the title would be Galas, but things didn’t go that way. “I got really pissed because all of a sudden all of these old veterans were getting their shot at the belt and here I was a rising star being shut out. Finally she was invited to face Megan in an exhibition match for a Japanese television show. In a very competitive match, Galas pinned the champion for a three count. She immediately snatched the title belt and fled from the studio. This began a three month nightmare for the promotion as Looner refused to return the belt unless she would receive a title shot. No matter how much the promotion threatened her, she kept the belt in hiding. That didn’t stop her from using it to her advantage, engaging in photo shoots with the belt and calling herself “the uncrowned champion.

Eventually the promotion relented and gave her a title shot and Galas prepared to match up against Jones but things did not go as she expected. Jones wiped the floor with her, mocking her for stealing the belt. A despondent Looner holed up in her apartment for two weeks and the result was quickly noticeable. She gained fifteen lbs. on her small frame and she began going out with her girlfriends to various night spots. When she came back for her matches, there was a noticeable difference. The added weight had slowed her down, diminishing the quickness that had been her greatest ally. As her partying continued her conditioning faltered and she began losing matches to lesser quality foes. One match after another. she began a downward spiral until she dropped out of the top ten in standings.

At the low point of her career, Galas decided to take time off from active competition to recharge her batteries and to reassess her career. One year later, she has returned to the promotion but no one knows what her career holds for her. Time will tell whether hers was an opportunity wasted or will be a career renewed.

Things start out on a sour note as Kaila calls Galas a Gwen Stefani wannabe and Galas lets her know that she may wannabe shutting the fuck up! These two are complete opposites. Kaila is taller and tightly wound, enjoying taking a more athletic, high octane approach to the match. Galas, a more experienced worker keeps to a ground game mixed with kicks and punches. This makes for great action. At one point Kaila bent Galas over on the bed and announced “It’s prison time! Now I’m gonna show you how we really get down!” ‘Nuff said – this is ACW!

Megan Jones vs.  Katie Anderson
Katie Anderson is the “All-American Girl.” She’s all-natural and knows how to move her body to get what she wants, in this case a victory. Megan has dominated everyone in the promotion, but knows that Katie is the top rival she will meet so far. This is a matchup between a brutal force of will and strength versus quickness and strategy.

Katie Cummings vs. Kaila Ali
First of all, this matchup is fantastic just from a hot sexy ass chick point of view. Kaila is tall, strong and athletic with a big rack and a big round rear end.
