Her name is her game - she is the hunter, always in pursuit. She is one of the most tenacious competitors in ACW. She is always on the prowl, pursuing her opponents with a reckless abandon and aggressiveness that has her in the top echelon of ACW competitors.

Diane Hunter was a former secretary for United Altellan Insurance in Aurora, Illinois. After seeing a feature about ACW in a magazine, she abruptly made the decision that she wanted to try her hand at the sport. After attending a number of men's wrestling practices at a local community college, she flew to Charlotte, North Carolina and won the 1997 Carolina Catfight tournament.

Impressed with her natural skills, Tanako X invited her to attend the next training camp at the Chicago Dojo of the ACW Academy. A loner by nature, Hunter was not comfortable with the thought of having to study under X's disciplined, structured system and declined his invitation, deciding instead to tour the Untied States competing in lower-tier apartment wrestling promotions. Gaining experience and confidence, she entered ACW in 1999. Her early career was not very successful as she lost 9 of her first 12 matches. She learned from each loss, however, and worked on her strength and technique, becoming more aggressive with each match. Eventually her aggressiveness reached a level where she became almost entirely offensive-minded. With a seek and destroy mentality, many observed that her personality began to change as well. Her aggressiveness caused her to become very impatient, often "snapping" and striking training partners and other competitors.

Although she improved steadily, she was still unable to break through the ranks of the upper echelon of ACW performers - but she pressed on nonetheless. In a match against ACW veteran Thelma Ferguson, Hunter was soundly defeated as her offensive inclination caused her to ignore the defensive tactics that she needed to employ. Ferguson belittled Hunter's tactics and knowledge of the sport in a post-match press conference. Some of her statements became somewhat personal in nature and Hunter was seen in a nearby locker room smoldering. Two days later, while returning from a shopping mall, Ferguson was the victim of a violent attack and suffered a broken left leg and a dislocated right kneecap. Many believe that Hunter may have been involved in the attack, and though she never denied involvement, no charges have been filed against her.

In December 2000, Diane finally got an opportunity at a title when she pinned Candy Dawson to win the ACW Inter-Condominium Championship. With a belt in her hand, Hunter may now become the hunted. She is not worried, however, believing that her struggles to the top have prepared her for the challenges ahead. "I busted my ass working in crappy little towns preparing for this day and I have no intention of ever going back!"

Diane Hunter's reign as the ACW champion was not as happy as one would have expected. She felt after years of hard work and facing highly-skilled competitors that the newest breed of ACW competitors were a bunch of big-breasted, big booty powder puffs. She felt no differently about Rosario Delgado. Rosario, however, isn't going to disrepectful from anyone, not even the champ. This one got so wild and rough that the match was halted when Rosario picked up a chair and tried to hit Diane. When it continue, both girls gave their all to inflict pain and insults with belly punching, scissor lock holds and more.
