Mention the name Daisee Douglas to your average ACW fan and the most likely response you'll get back is a confused “Who?” However, for those in the know, the newest talent acquisition of the Chicago-based wrestling league is creating quite a buzz…

Douglas, a former SJPW (Super-Japan Pro Wrestling) Tag Team champion (with fellow gaijin , and past ACW standout, Malaysia) and a two-time United Kingdom World Middleweight champion, has achieved fame in both the worlds of ‘conventional' pro wrestling as well as the more physically challenging contests of apartment wrestling. Her notoriety throughout the Orient is such that for a time during the late Nineties, Douglas, whose beauty is only exceeded by her athleticism, was featured on the cover of countless magazines as well as making several appearances on the highly-rated Japanese television program, Ichiban American.

Once her contract with SJPW ran its course and Douglas made it known that she was willing to return to the United States, her stock increased dramatically and the athletic redhead reveled in what she and many others felt was her rightful position as the #1 free agent in the sport. Having been courted by several North American promotional entities, Douglas made the decision to compete for Tanako X's controversial Apartment Championship Wrestling.

Despite her international fame, or perhaps because of it, the feisty 5' 6” 119 pound grappler seems deeply determined to make an impact in ACW. Douglas explained her ambitions recently during an exclusive interview with ApartmentWrestlers.com by saying, "When I was a little girl growing up in Tennessee, I can remember watching a professional wrestling TV show with my older brothers, who were both really big wrestling fans. I really didn't like it very much because most of the wrestlers seemed old and, how should I say this,,,, not in the best physical condition. But, they did have one performer that really caught my interest, a female wrestler named Madusa Micelli. She was beautiful, fashionable and strong. Plus, action-wise, I always thought her matches were way better than most of the ‘important' men's bouts. And, her ring outfits...wow, looking back, they were so trend-setting. Usually, she cheated to win her matches, but I loved her just the same."

"Anyway, she was the AWA Ladies champ," the redheaded newcomer recalled, "and I thought that Madusa Micelli was just fantastic. After seeing her on TV, I knew what I wanted to do. It was simple; I wanted to be a professional wrestler. To be honest, she was my original inspiration to get into this business, and for that, I owe at least a portion of my success to her."

The two-time former United Kingdom World Middleweight champion then shifted her comments to the present, saying "I've reached that goal now, my childhood dream of becoming a pro. On top of that, beyond what I ever dreamed possible, I went on to become a household name overseas. Now, it's time to move on to the next phase of my career. I may be new to ACW fans, but trust me, I've been around the world of female Mixed Martial Arts for quite some time, primarily in Europe and Japan . I've achieved fame and fortune globally…anyone who follows female M.M.A. knows that. Still, every woman in this business also knows that ACW is, ultimately, the place to be. It's the goal of every woman competing to eventually end up in the United States , with Apartment Championship Wrestling. Anyone who says it isn't is lying."

Douglas strikes a strange contrast - a supreme daddy's girl with southern charm and a cockiness that is often disconcerting. She is clearly focused, however, and eager to get to work. I'm here now, and simply put, I'm ready to win some gold. Be it the D-Cup trophy, the Inter Condominium title or the ACW Championship itself, I'm here for one reason...to win."
"I think," she added with a knowing grin, "that I'm going to surprise a lot of people around here. A lot of people."
