Barbie Mayfield was thought by many to be a star in the making. Strong as an ox and as beautiful as a princess, as she began training she was viewed as having great potential and marketability. Her persona as the farmer's daughter caught on with the fans, but Barbie has a secret. "I was born and raised right here in Chicago. I'm a city girl and the whole farmer's daughter thing was a gimmick."

While she suffered a few minor injuries, Mayfield career went off the tracks as she enjoyed a little stardom and followed her bad-girl cousin Amber and began running around with the wild crowds and missed a number of training sessions. "Looking back on it," she say "yes, I wish I had been more serious about it. I came in around the same time as Daniella and now she's driving a Porsche and I'm driving a Chevy."

After her apartment wrestling career faded, so did her popularity and most of the modeling gigs that she had coming to her left and right dried up. Asked if she would consider a return to the apartment wrestling business, she says no. "I had my chance and I know how much work I had to put into it. All these years later I know I don't have what it takes to get back in the business. I'll just have to look back at it as a fond memory.
